Digital Imaging / General Radiology
Patient Info: For instructions and forms, select your test on the left navigation menu.
With the new digital imaging for general x-rays, film is no longer used. This all digital approach provides finer details, more clarity and better contrast.
Digital imaging is more convenient for the patient by minimizing the potential for return visits for additional x-rays. In the past, film imaging may have been too dark
or too light, necessitating repeated x-rays. This problem is clearly eliminated with digital imaging as contrast adjustments can be made with computer software. By eliminating repeated x-rays, the patient is exposed to less radiation and incurs less cost.
